BUSH,SPEEDO MOUNT 60-63
Bonded rubber mounting bush for the speedometer/tach instrument bracket, Triumph PN 97-1087 (H1087).
This is the mounting bush for the speedometer bracket, part number 97-1087, listed in the older Triumph books under H1087. It shows up in the SPEEDOMETER, TACHOMETER AND TAIL LAMP figure, and it's the rubber bonded bush that sits in the instrument mounting bracket to isolate the speedo (and tach, where fitted) from vibration coming up through the bars or headlamp shell.

The bush is bonded to a metal sleeve, and it presses into the bracket to help the mounting bolts find their hole while cushioning the instrument from engine and road buzz. If yours has gone hard or split, the needle will hop around more than it should and the whole cluster may feel loose in the bracket even with the bolts tight.
The catalog note pins this one to the early 60s. If you're not sure your bracket takes this exact bush, bring it in or give us a call before you order.
