CAP NUT ASSEMBLY
Fork top cap nut assembly for early-'60s Triumph telescopic front forks, also listed as H1064A.
This is the cap nut assembly that sits at the top of the front fork legs, part of the telescopic fork setup shown in the parts book for the T20SS and T20SH as well as the TR6 and T120 fork figures. It's listed under the older H1064A number in earlier books, same part carried forward under 97-1064A.

A fork cap nut like this threads into the top of the fork tube and closes off the top of the leg, giving you a place to check or top up fork oil and keeping everything sealed at the top end of the stanchion. On these telescopic forks it's one of the small parts that's easy to overlook until it's missing or the threads are buggered from being over-tightened with the wrong tool.
Our catalog record ties this one to the early-'60s fork figures listed above. If you're not sure it matches what's on your bike, give us a call and we'll confirm before you order.
