FORK DRAIN PLUG 2BA HEX - ALSO NACELLE FILL PLUGS (order 97-1071 for extended internal end)
Hex-head drain/fill plug for Triumph front forks and headlamp nacelle, PN 97-0519 (legacy H519).
This is the fork drain plug, a small hex-head bolt that threads into the bottom of the front fork legs so you can drain the oil out for a change. The same part also does duty as the fill plug on the headlamp nacelle where fitted, since it's the same 2BA hex fitting in both spots. The old legacy number for this one is H519, which is what you'll see printed in the earlier parts books before the modern 97-0519 numbering took over.

It shows up in the catalog under both the front fork figure and the swinging arm/suspension figure, which just reflects the two places this same plug gets used on the bike. If you need one with a longer internal end for a different application, the catalog points you to 97-1071 instead - so make sure you're ordering the right one for your fork before you check out.
These plugs see oil and road grime and get worked on with a spanner every time somebody changes fork oil, so it's not unusual for the hex to get chewed up over the years. Worth keeping a spare on hand since it's a small, easy part to lose track of when the forks are apart.
