Spring plate

A spring plate used inside the telescopic front fork assembly on certain Triumph twins, formerly numbered H9S.

PN · 97-0009S

The 97-0009S is a spring plate that lives inside the telescopic front fork assembly, shown in the fork parts figures for the TR6/T120 line and the TR6C fork and steering damper setup. It's one of the small internal components that keeps the fork spring properly located and seated as the fork does its job of soaking up bumps.

This part carries the older H9S designation in earlier parts books, so if you're working from a vintage manual or a bin of used parts marked with that number, know that it's the same physical piece as 97-0009S.

Our catalog record on this one is brief - it shows up in fork parts figures spanning 1965 through 1970 across two catalog listings, but we don't have more detail on dimensions or material. If you're rebuilding a fork assembly, give us a call and we'll confirm fitment before you order.
