This is the left-hand carburetor body for a 30mm Amal carb, listed under part number 930/000L. The body is the main casting of the carburetor - the piece everything else bolts to or slides into, including the slide, jet block, float bowl, and mixing chamber hardware. Without a sound body casting the rest of the carb has nowhere to live.

The listing marks this as the pre-Premier version, so it's from before Amal's Premier-series update to the 930 range. It's cast in zinc. If you're rebuilding a pair of 30mm Amals and pulling the left side apart, this is the casting you're after - just make sure whatever internals and jets you're carrying over are compatible with the pre-Premier body rather than the later Premier version.
This part also shows up under 930/005L in some listings, so if your old carb or parts book references that number, you're looking at the same body.
