BSA Rubber — gearchange pedal
Rubber cover for the gearchange pedal, the grip piece on the gear lever.
This is the rubber that slips over the gearchange pedal, the part your boot actually touches when you shift. It's the wear item on that lever — the one that gets soft, cracks, or goes missing off the peg over time, and once it's gone you're shifting on bare metal.

The catalog places this rubber in the footchange and kickstart area of the engine, showing up across the gear cluster and outer timing cover figures as well as the swinging arm and rear brake control figure. Our records don't spell out which specific model or year this belongs to beyond the span the catalog covers, so check it against your own lever before ordering.
It's a simple, inexpensive item to have on the shelf — worth replacing as soon as the old one starts tearing or slipping on the peg, since a loose gearchange rubber makes it easy to miss shifts.
