This is the 2.8 gallon gas tank for the T140 Triumph, the fuel tank that sits up top of the frame between the seat and the headstock, holding the petrol supply that feeds the carburetors. It's a new production tank, built to fit the OIF (oil-in-frame) 750 twins.

The tank comes bare metal, so plan on sealing and/or pressure testing before you send it out for paint or clear coat - that's just good practice with any new tank before it goes into service. Mounting hardware for your specific frame setup is a separate consideration, so check what you've got before assuming everything bolts straight across.
