BATTERY BUCKLE 90 DEGREE
The 90 degree buckle for the battery strap on OIF-era Triumphs, holding the battery down in its tray.
This is the buckle for the battery retaining strap on OIF-era Triumphs, the little bent piece that lets the strap hook down and hold tension so the battery stays put in its tray. The catalog lists it as a 90 degree buckle, and it shows up in the parts books under the headlamp and flasher lamp figure as well as the battery and TR6C headlamp figure, which is just how these older parts books grouped electrical bits together rather than a sign it does double duty anywhere else.

It appears across catalog entries running 1971 to 1974, and also carries the older F13849 number if you're working from an early parts book. It's a small, easy-to-overlook item, but a broken or missing buckle means a battery that isn't held down properly, and that's worth fixing before it becomes a bigger headache.
If you're not sure whether your bike takes this exact buckle versus a similar strap fitting, give us a call before ordering and we'll help confirm it against your parts book.
