Distance piece Bracket to frame

A small distance piece spacer that fits between the head steady bracket and the frame, part 83-3329.

PN · 83-3329

This is the distance piece that spaces the head steady bracket off the frame, part number 83-3329. It's a small metal spacer, sold on its own, that sits between the top mounting bracket and the frame tube so the bracket seats correctly and the fixing bolt draws up tight without crushing anything out of alignment.

It shows up in the catalogs under MOTOR UNIT FITTINGS AND FOOTRESTS, which tells you it's part of the hardware that ties the top of the motor to the frame rather than anything to do with the footrest itself. Catalog appearances for this one run from 1974 to 1979.

It's a piece easy to lose track of when a head steady comes apart for service, so if you're missing one or it's mangled from being over-torqued, this is the number to order. Confirm it lines up with the bracket and frame you're working with before you buy.
