BRACKET, REAR NUMBER PLATE-L.H
Left-hand bracket that mounts the rear number plate near the tail lamp assembly.
This is the left-hand bracket that carries the rear number plate, sitting back at the tail end of the bike alongside the tail lamp and fender assembly. It shows up in the parts books under the tail lamp and support figures, and also under fenders and tail lamp, so it's part of that whole rear-end cluster rather than a stand-alone accessory piece.

If your parts book uses the older F12727 reference, that's the same bracket under its earlier number - F12727 and 83-2727 are the same physical part across the catalog years we have on file, 1971 to 1972.
Being a left-hand bracket, it's specific to that side of the bike, so make sure you're ordering the correct side for your setup before you install it.
