BSA Connector hose — carburetter, left
Left-side carburetor-to-air-cleaner connector hose from the 1971-72 catalog listings.
This is the left-side connector hose that runs between the air cleaner box and the carburetor on the intake side, listed in the catalog under Sidecovers/Air Cleaner and Air Filter figures. Catalog appearances put it in the 1971-72 window. It's a flexible coupling piece, not a metal pipe, so its job is to seal the joint between the filter housing and the carb mouth while allowing a bit of movement between the two.

Because it's marked left, it's specific to that side of the intake setup rather than a universal piece that works on either carb. If you're rebuilding an air cleaner assembly or chasing an intake leak, this is one of the usual suspects to check for cracking, hardening, or a loose fit at either end.
Our record ties this to the 71-72 model years mentioned in the catalog, but if you're not sure whether your air cleaner box and carb setup matches, give us a call before ordering.
