This is the chrome clamping washer used on headlamp mounting for the oil-in-frame Triumph and BSA twins. It's a small tabbed washer, not a flat washer off the shelf, and the tabs are there to locate it properly against the wire headlamp brackets so the headlamp shell and its hardware clamp up square instead of shifting around.

Four of these get used per headlamp assembly, so if you're missing one you're probably missing more than one. It's an easy part to lose track of during a rebuild since it looks unremarkable sitting in a parts bin, but without the right washer in the right spot the headlamp mount doesn't sit correctly.
Also comes up under 83-2216 in some records, which is worth knowing if you're cross-checking against an older parts list.
