Chain oiler pipe—short
Short chain oiler feed pipe from the swinging fork and rear suspension parts, also cataloged as F9997.
This is the short chain oiler pipe, part number 82-9997, listed in the catalog under the older F9997 designation as well. It shows up in the swinging fork and rear suspension section of the parts books, which is where the rear chain oiling line routes on its way back to the rear chain.

The chain oiler pipe carries a metered trickle of oil down to the rear chain so it doesn't run dry between proper lube jobs. Being the short version, it's one section of what's usually a two- or three-piece oil line running from the feed point back toward the swinging arm and chain. If you're replacing one of these, it helps to have the whole oiler line off the bike so you can match up which section you're actually missing.
Our catalog record ties this to the swinging fork and suspension figure across model years from 1969 to 1974, but it doesn't spell out which specific model that oiler pipe run belongs to, so check the routing on your bike or give us a call before ordering to make sure this is the right length for what you need.
