Rubber mat, side reflector
Rubber backing pad that seats the side reflector on the rear mudguard, catalog number 82-8140.
Part number 82-8140, also cataloged as F8140, is the rubber pad that sits behind the side reflector on the rear mudguard. It shows up in the parts book under the mudguard and chainguard figures, doing the job of cushioning the reflector lens against the fender and keeping it from rattling or cracking against bare metal.

It's a small piece and an easy one to overlook until the reflector starts working loose or the old rubber has gone hard and cracked with age. If yours is missing or perished, the lens has nothing to seat against and tends to work its way out over time.
Catalog records tie this one to the 1969-1970 mudguard figures. Worth having a couple on hand since these pads don't hold up forever once the rubber ages out.
