Stud (875 in. OA)
A lower engine mounting stud, 8.75 in. overall, that secures the engine to the frame at the bottom mount.
This is a lower engine mounting stud, part number 82-6498, also cataloged under the older F6498 number. It shows up in the engine unit fitting and footrests section of the parts book, which tells you it's one of the studs holding the engine into the frame down at the bottom mounting points.

The canonical description gives an overall length of 8.75 in., so this is a longer stud meant to pass through the frame lugs, any distance pieces, and the engine mounting lugs, then get drawn up with nuts and washers on each end. It's the kind of part that's easy to overlook until you're rebuilding the bottom mount and find the old one stretched, rusted, or buggered up at the threads.
The catalog only shows this one appearance, for 1970, so we can't speak to broader fitment beyond that. If you're not sure this is the exact stud your frame and engine mounting lugs need, give us a call before you order.
