R/H ENGINE MOUNTING PLATE 1964-70 (650 TRI)

Right-hand rear engine mounting plate for 1964-70 Triumph 650 unit twins.

PN · 82-5908

This is the right-hand engine mounting plate for the 650 unit twins, catalog dated 1964-70. It's one of the plates that ties the engine into the frame at the rear of the motor, and it shows up in the parts book under the ENGINE UNIT FITTINGS AND FOOTRESTS figure, so it's doing double duty helping locate the footrest hardware as well as holding the engine steady in the frame.

Older parts books list this one as F5908 - same physical plate, just the pre-1970s numbering. If you're working from an older book and see that number, it's this part.

These plates take a beating over the years between vibration, road grime, and the odd dropped bike, so it's worth checking yours for cracks or elongated bolt holes before you button the engine back up. Since it's the right-hand side specifically, make sure you're ordering the correct side for your rebuild - the left-hand plate is a separate part number.
