KNOB,SEAT CATCH CHROME
Chrome knob for the twinseat's seat catch on early-1960s Triumphs.
This is the chrome knob off the seat catch, the small piece you actually grab hold of when you unlatch the twinseat to swing it up. It shows up in the parts book under PANELS AND TWINSEAT, and the catalog record spans Triumphs from the early 1960s, so it was in use across a few seasons of that era.

It carries a couple of alternate numbers in the records, including F4227 and 82-6659, which is worth knowing if you're cross-checking against an older parts book or a listing that uses one of those instead of 82-4227. Note that 82-6659 refers to the knob by itself, while 82-4227A covers the complete catch assembly, so if you need more than just the knob, order accordingly.
It's a small, inexpensive piece, but a stripped or missing seat catch knob makes lifting the seat a chore, so it's an easy thing to have on the shelf if yours has gone missing or snapped off.
