A pair of chrome seat springs, sold two to a set.
PN · 82-1729S-2
Available in 7 sizes:
This is a pair of chrome seat springs, sold as a set of two. Seat springs like these sit under the saddle, cushioning the ride by absorbing bumps between the seat pan and the frame mounts. The chrome finish means they were meant to be seen, which tells you this style of spring mounts somewhere visible rather than tucked away out of sight.
