Rocker oil pipe
Rocker oil pipe (71-7458) that feeds oil up to the rocker box valve gear.
This is the rocker oil pipe, part number 71-7458, listed in the oil and breather pipes section of the parts book. It carries oil up to the rocker box assembly so the valve gear gets lubricated the way it should. It's a small but important line in the top-end oiling circuit, and if it's cracked, kinked, or missing a fitting, you'll see oil starvation up top or oil where it shouldn't be.

The catalog only shows this one appearance, so we don't have a lot of cross-year history to lean on for this part number. If you're matching an original pipe or replacing a bad one, check the routing and fittings against what's currently on the engine before you order, since oil pipe runs can differ between engine variants.
Call the shop if you want to talk through fitment before ordering — we're glad to help you get the right pipe the first time.
