Tachometer Gearbox
The gearbox that drives the tachometer cable off the engine, later renumbered 71-7011.
This is the tachometer gearbox drive, listed in the parts book under speedometer and tachometer. It's the small gearbox that takes drive off the engine and turns it into the rotary motion the tachometer cable needs to spin the tach head.

Catalog records show it appearing across entries from 1979 to 1985, and Triumph later renumbered this part to 71-7011, so if your parts book lists that number instead, it's the same physical piece.
If your tach isn't reading right or the cable keeps binding up, this gearbox is one of the usual suspects along with the cable and the drive itself. Give the shop a call if you're not sure which one you need.
