Pushrod tube for the Triumph three-cylinder engine, later superseded by 70-6955.
71-4000 is a pushrod tube for the three-cylinder Triumph engine. The tube is the outer sleeve that runs from the crankcase up to the cylinder head, giving the pushrod a sealed path to travel in and keeping oil where it belongs instead of running down the outside of the engine.

Our catalog record on this one is thin - it shows up under this number with no other detail on file, so we can't speak to length, material, or exactly which triple engines it was cataloged for. It has since been superseded by 70-6955, so if you're chasing this number down for a rebuild and it's come up short at another counter, that's the current number to ask for.
Give us a call before you order if you want to confirm it matches what's on your bench - with pushrod tubes especially, getting the right one saves you a return trip.
Sorry if we got something wrong here. If you think this information isn't correct, .
