Joint washer, inner cover to crankcase
Gasket that seals the gearbox inner cover to the crankcase, part number 71-3096.
This is the joint washer that seats between the gearbox inner cover and the crankcase on the gearbox side of the engine. It's a gasket, not a mechanical part, and its job is to keep oil from seeping out at that joint once the inner cover is bolted back down over the selector mechanism.

It shows up in the parts book under the GEARBOX INNER COVER AND SELECTORS figure, so any time that cover comes off for selector work or a gearbox rebuild, this is one of the pieces you'll want fresh rather than reused. The catalog carries it as 71-3096, with 13-37732 as an earlier form of the same part number.
Our records show this one was later superseded by CD-534, so if you're working from a more recent parts list you may see it listed under that number instead. Either way it's the same joint washer for the same job.
