Connecting Rod
Connecting rod (71-3006) for the Triumph 750 twin engine, used in crankshaft and bottom-end rebuilds.
Part number 71-3006 is a connecting rod for the 750 twin engine, listed under CRANKSHAFT AND CONNECTING RODS in the parts books. This is the shorter rod used on the 724cc and 747cc unit twins, not the earlier 650 engine, and our catalog records show it appearing across entries from 1973 into the late '70s.

The connecting rod links the piston to the crankshaft, carrying the load from combustion down into the crank on every stroke. These get sold and fitted as a matched set rather than one at a time, since the pair needs to be balanced against each other for smooth running.
If you're rebuilding a 750 twin bottom end, this is the rod to check against your existing part number before ordering. Give us a call if you're not sure whether your engine takes this rod or the earlier 650 version.
