71-1454 is the outer chain case gasket for the Trident triple, sitting between the outer primary cover and the case to keep the primary chaincase oiltight. It's a paper-type gasket, cheap to replace and worth putting in fresh anytime the outer cover comes off for clutch or primary chain work.
