Spindle for the intermediate timing gear, part of the crankshaft and connecting rods assembly.

This is the intermediate gear spindle from the crankshaft and connecting rods section of the parts book. It's the fixed shaft that the intermediate timing gear rotates on, carrying motion between the crankshaft pinion and the camshaft gears at the front of the engine.
