BSA Cover plate, tachometer drive hole
Blanking plate that covers the tachometer drive hole in the crankcase.
This is the blanking plate that covers the tachometer drive hole in the crankcase when a tach drive isn't fitted there. It's a small block-off cover, nothing more, and it shows up in the crankcase section of the parts books for 1969-1970.

If your crankcase has a machined boss for a tach drive that you're not using, or you've pulled a drive unit for service and need to seal the hole in the meantime, this is the plate that goes over it. Straightforward part, easy to overlook until you notice oil weeping out of an uncovered hole.
The catalog listings we have don't tie this to one specific model, so if you're trying to match it up to a particular crankcase, best to confirm fitment before you order.
