Pressure release valve plug

Plug for the crankcase pressure release valve, also listed under the older E8123 number.

PN · 70-8123

70-8123 is the plug that seals off the pressure release valve in the crankcase. It shows up in the CRANKCASE section of the parts book for 1968, and you'll also find it listed under the older E8123 number if that's what your book shows.

The pressure release valve itself manages oil pressure in the bottom end, and this plug is the small piece that closes off that valve's bore once everything is set. It's not a big part, but it's one of those crankcase fittings you want seated right, since it's sitting in the engine's oil circuit.

Our record on this one is thin beyond the crankcase figure and the single model year it's tied to, so if you're not sure this matches what's on your bottom end, give us a call and we'll confirm before you order.
