Exhaust pipe tie
The L-shaped tie bracket that clamps and secures a Triumph exhaust header pipe to the frame.
This is the exhaust pipe tie, part number 70-6857, sometimes called an L bracket at the counter. It's the small stay that clamps onto the exhaust header pipe and ties it back to a mounting point on the frame or crankcase area, keeping the pipe from flexing loose over time. Triumph parts books list it under exhaust pipe and muffler figures across a long run of catalog years, spanning T120R, TR6R, T140V, and TR7RV entries.

The alias E6857 is just the older-style number stamp for the same physical piece, so if your parts book or an old box of spares shows that number, it's the same bracket. It shows up over and over across separate exhaust figure pages in the parts books, which tells you it's a component Triumph kept using across a good number of exhaust pipe configurations rather than a one-off.
If you're replacing a tired or rusted-through tie, or you're putting a header pipe back on after cleaning things up, this is the bracket that keeps that pipe snug against the frame. Worth checking the one you've got for cracking or stretched mounting holes before you decide whether to reuse it.
