LOWER VLV SPRING CUP 500
Lower valve spring cup for the 500 twin cylinder head, seats the bottom of the valve spring.
This is the lower valve spring cup, part number 70-6855, also listed under the older E6855 number. It sits in the cylinder head, under the valve spring, giving the spring a proper seat to bear against at the bottom end.

The figure titles tie this cup to the cylinder block and head assembly on the 500 twin, showing up across T100R, T100T, T100S, T100C, and T90 head configurations in the catalog records, both single and twin carburetter versions. It's a small but necessary piece in the valve train stack, working alongside the valve, spring, collets, and top cup to keep everything located correctly as the valve opens and closes.
If you're rebuilding a head on one of these 500 twins, it's worth checking the condition of this cup along with the spring itself rather than just reusing what's there, since a worn or cracked cup can let the spring sit off-center.
