PUSHROD TUBE 500 64-69

Pushrod tube for 500cc unit twins (3TA, T90, T100 family), 1964-69, seals the pushrod tunnel between crankcase and head.

PN · 70-4751
Available in 3 versions:

This is a pushrod tube for the 500cc unit-construction twins, covering the cylinder block and head assembly on the 3TA, T90, T100S, T100C, T100R and T100T family as it shows up across those catalog figures. Each tube encloses one pushrod, sealing the pushrod tunnel between the crankcase and the cylinder head so oil returning down from the valve gear stays inside the engine instead of running down the outside of the barrel.

On these engines you'll run one tube per pushrod, so plan on replacing them in a set rather than one at a time if the others are showing their age. The legacy part number for this one is E4751, in case that's what's stamped in your parts book or old invoice.

Good pushrod tube seals at both ends matter more than people expect - a tired or damaged tube here is a classic source of top-end oil leaks on these motors. If you're pulling the head anyway for a gasket job, it's worth checking the tubes while everything's apart.
