HEAD GASKET .080 THICK
An .080 in. thick copper head gasket for the 8-stud pre-unit Triumph 650 twin cylinder head.
This is the .080 in. thick head gasket, PN 70-3614/080, for the 8-stud pre-unit Triumph 650 twin cylinder head. It's the thicker option in this gasket family versus the standard thickness version listed under the base number 70-3614, and shops stock both so a builder can dial in compression or take up extra clearance on a head or barrel that's been skimmed or built up.

It sits between the cylinder head and the barrel on the 8-bolt pre-unit engine, sealing the combustion chambers and oil/pushrod tunnel passages from each other and from the outside. Because it's an 8-stud pattern gasket, it's specific to the older pre-unit barrel and head bolt layout, not the later unit-construction engines.
If you're rebuilding a top end and aren't sure whether your engine takes the standard or the .080 thick gasket, measure your deck height and stud pattern before ordering, or give us a call and we'll help sort out which one your barrel needs.
