TAIL LAMP CASTING,BSA 1966-67
Alloy tail lamp mounting casting for BSA models, 1966-67, with a cutout for the mudguard stay.
This is the tail lamp casting for BSA 1966-67 models, the housing that carries the rear taillight and mounts it up to the mudguard stay. It's cast in alloy and machined with a cutout to clear the mudguard stay, so it sits and mounts the way the factory piece did rather than being a generic bracket.

This one shows up in the books under a couple of numbers - 60-0272 and D272 are the same physical part in earlier catalog forms. If your parts book lists one of those instead of 68-6823, you're looking at the same casting.
We don't have much more on file for this one beyond the casting itself - it's sold as the mounting housing, not the lens, bulb, or taillight unit. If you're piecing together the rear end of the bike, check what taillight body you're running before you order so the fit at the top of the casting lines up.
Sorry if we got something wrong here. If you think this information isn't correct, .
