This is the bolt that secures the brake drum (or sprocket) flange to the rear wheel hub, listed in the catalog as 3/8 inch British Standard Cycle thread. It shows up in the rear wheel section of the parts books, holding the drum flange square to the hub so the wheel spins true and the brake or drive load transfers properly.
