This is the inner timing cover gasket for the BSA A10, part number 67-0281, also known under the GAS31 code. The inner timing cover sits over the timing gears and seals that area of the engine from the outer cover. A gasket like this one keeps oil where it belongs and keeps the two cover surfaces sealing properly when bolted back together.
