This is a rocker cover gasket for the BSA A10, not a Triumph part despite whatever number cross-reference brought you here. It seals the rocker box cover against the head, keeping oil from seeping out around the top of the valve gear.

The catalog also carries this same gasket under the GAS 83 form, so if your parts book or an old invoice shows that number, it's the same physical piece under a different label.
