This is an Amal carburetor jet holder, part number 622/080, later renumbered 1034080. It's the fitting inside the carburetor body that retains the main jet, part of the fuel metering stack on the bottom of the slide.

It shows up across a run of Amal carburetter figures for Triumph twins in the catalog, including T100S, T100, T100C, T100T, T100R, TR6R, TR6C, and T120R listings from 1968 to 1969. If you're pulling a carb apart for a rebuild or chasing a fuel leak at the jet block, this is one of the small parts worth checking for wear or stripped threads before you put it back together.
If your parts book lists 622/080, know that it was later renumbered to 1034080 - same physical part, just a different catalog number depending on which book you're working from.
