CARB SLIDE #2 CUTAWAY 600 MK1 OEM ZINC
Amal 600 Mk1 carburetor throttle slide, #2 cutaway, cast in zinc.
This is a throttle slide for the Amal 600 Mk1 carburetor, cut with a #2 cutaway. The slide rides in the carb body and moves up and down with the throttle, and the cutaway shape on its leading edge is what shapes the mixture off idle and through the early part of the throttle opening. It's cast in zinc, matching factory original spec for this carburetor family.

If your 600 Mk1 has been running rich or lean low down and the rest of the carb is in good shape, a worn or wrong-cutaway slide is often the culprit. Slides wear where they ride in the bore, and a sloppy fit there will cause hesitation and inconsistent idle no matter how you set the pilot jet.
We don't have extra fitment notes on file beyond what's printed on the part itself, so if you're not sure your carb is a 600 Mk1, check the body markings or give us a call before you order.
