DRIFT,GEARBOX NEEDLE BRNG

Gearbox needle bearing drift, tool number 61-6026, used to seat the gearbox needle bearing during rebuild.

PN · 61-6026

This is a gearbox drift, Ed's shop number 61-6026, also known as 222-319 in the older reference. A drift is a tool, not a bike part you'd bolt on — it's used to install or remove the needle bearing in the gearbox, seating it square without banging up the bearing housing or the bearing itself.

Our records on this one are thin, just the basic listing carried over from the parts book. If you're rebuilding a gearbox and need to set that needle bearing correctly, this is the tool that's supposed to do it, but give us a call and we'll confirm it's the right drift for the bearing you're working with before you order.
