SPRAG CLUTCH 82'E-START
One-way sprag clutch for Triumph electric-start models, letting the starter turn the engine without being driven back once it fires.
This is a sprag clutch, part of the electric-start setup Triumph put on later 750 twins. The sprag clutch is what lets the starter motor spin the engine over without the engine trying to drive the starter back once it fires - it's a one-way clutch that engages under load in one direction and freewheels in the other.

Our records on this one are thin - it's a low-turnover part that doesn't show up often in the catalog rows we track. If you're chasing electric-start trouble, this is a component worth having on the bench, but confirm fitment against your specific machine before ordering.
Give us a call if you want to talk through symptoms - a worn or slipping sprag clutch can mimic other starter and battery problems, so it helps to rule things out before you commit to the part.
Sorry if we got something wrong here. If you think this information isn't correct, .
