Pipe, hose to caliper
Steel bundy-style brake line running from the flexible hose down to the rear caliper on the underslung rear disc setup.
This is the metal line that runs from the flexible rubber brake hose down to the rear caliper on the underslung rear disc setup. It's a formed steel tube, sometimes called a bundy pipe in the trade, and it carries brake fluid the last stretch of the run where a rubber hose would be too exposed to heat and road debris near the caliper.

It sits in the rear brake system alongside the master cylinder, flexible hose, and caliper. The catalog shows it appearing in rear brake figures across a run of years in the late 1970s. If you're replacing one, check the shape and fittings against what's on the bike now, since this style of rear brake changed over the production run and a later or earlier tube may not match up.
Given it's a fluid-carrying line, this isn't the spot to reuse a pipe that's been sitting around corroded or kinked. Have a look at the flare and nut before you bolt it back in.
