Plain washer
A general-purpose plain flat washer, PN 60-4247, used across many different fastener locations on the bike.
This is a plain flat washer, PN 60-4247, one of those parts that shows up all over the catalog because it's a general-purpose fastener washer rather than something built for one specific job. Our records show it turning up in figures covering the chaincase, gearbox outer cover, exhaust pipes and mufflers, motor fittings, frame, swinging arm and suspension, front forks, fenders, ignition components, and more - basically anywhere a bolt or stud needed a washer under it.

Because it spans so many different assemblies, there's no single "home" for this washer on the bike. It's a hardware item Triumph used wherever a flat washer was called for during assembly, from the mid-70s into the early 80s based on the catalog appearances we have on file.
This PN also carries forward from two earlier factory numbers, GS203 and S25-3, so if your parts book or an old invoice lists either of those, they're the same washer under an older number. Worth keeping a few of these in the parts bin since they turn up in so many different jobs around the bike.
