NAME PLATE HOLDER
Chrome name plate holder (motif plate) for the side panel/airbox area on 750cc unit twins, part 60-4150.
This is the name plate holder, sometimes called the motif plate, that sits on the side panel or airbox cover on the 750cc unit twins from the mid-to-late '70s. It's the backing plate that carries the badge identifying the bike as a Bonneville or Tiger, and it's chrome plated. The catalog shows it under the number 60-4150, with the older C281D form appearing in earlier parts books for the same piece.

It shows up in the parts books under both the gas tank and twinseat figure and the air cleaners and side panels figure, which tells you it's mounted at the side panel area near the airbox, not on the fuel tank itself despite the figure grouping. The plate has a bit of a curve to it so it sits flush against the panel contour.
If your bike came with a name plate badge that looks loose, cracked, or the backing behind it is pitted or peeling, this is the piece you'd be replacing underneath it. Give us a call if you're not sure which side or which badge design your bike takes before ordering.
