Speedometer drive gearbox
Speedometer drive gearbox for the right-hand side of the rear wheel hub, working with the Smiths speedo drive box setup.
This is the speedometer drive gearbox that lives at the right-hand side of the rear wheel, turning the speedo cable off the wheel hub instead of off the front wheel. It's the unit Ed's parts book lists under 60-3213, also cross-referenced under the older D3213 form, and it's built to work with the Smiths speedo drive box arrangement on the right side of the rear hub.

The catalog places this on rear wheel assemblies from 1971 into the later '70s, and the figure titles specifically call out use with the Smiths speedo drive box on the right-hand side, so if you're rebuilding a rear hub with a right-side speedo drive, this is the gearbox that takes the drive off the wheel and sends it up the cable to the instrument.
If you're not sure whether your hub is set up for a right-hand rear speedo drive versus a front-wheel drive setup, give the shop a call before you order — hub configuration varies enough across these years that it's worth confirming against what's actually on your wheel.
