Front brake lever assembly with integrated air (choke) lever for the handlebar controls.
This is the front brake lever assembly that also carries an air (choke) lever, mounted at the handlebar controls on the right side of the bars. It's a combined unit — the brake lever body doubles as the mount point for the air lever, which lets the rider adjust choke/air on the fly without reaching down to the carb.

The catalog lists it under the PETROL TANK (GLASS-FIBRE) and HANDLEBAR AND CONTROLS figures, and it appears alongside a factory renumbering to 18/978 — if your parts book shows 18/978, that's the same physical part under Triumph's later numbering scheme.
