BSA Cover pressure switch

Cover for the oil pressure switch on 1969-1972 Triumphs, later superseded by 71-2930.

PN · 60-2045
Superseded by 71-2930.

This is the cover for the pressure switch, listed in the electrical equipment section of the parts books for 1969-1972. It's a small piece that shields the switch itself, which is the unit that trips the oil pressure warning light on the dash when pressure drops. On the physical bike this lives right at the switch, tucked into the electrical circuit that feeds your idiot light.

If you're chasing an intermittent oil light or corrosion around the switch, this cover is one of the things worth pulling to check. The old book number was D2045, so if you're working from an early catalog and see that number, it's the same part as 60-2045 here.

Factory records show this part was later superseded by 71-2930, so if you're ordering and your supplier only lists the newer number, that's the current equivalent of this same cover.
