Speedometer gearbox (green washer)
Speedometer gearbox unit with green washer, fitted at the rear wheel hub to drive the speedo cable.
This is the speedometer gearbox unit that appears in the rear wheel catalog listings, described in the parts book as fitted with a green washer. It shows up in both the standard rear wheel and quickly-detachable rear wheel figures, which tells you it lives at the wheel hub where the speedo drive picks up rotation off the wheel to run the cable up to the speedometer head.

The legacy alias for this one is D544, so if you're working from an older parts book or a bike that still carries the old-style numbering, that's the number you'd have seen printed there. Same physical part, just the earlier reference.
The catalog appearances put this in the mid-60s range, but we'd rather you confirm fitment against your actual wheel hub and speedo drive setup before ordering rather than go by year alone. Give us a call if you're not sure which gearbox your hub takes.
Sorry if we got something wrong here. If you think this information isn't correct, .
