A 44-inch speedometer drive cable, Triumph part 60-0542, from the speedometer/tachometer/tail lamp catalog group.
This is a speedometer cable, 44 inches long, listed under Triumph part number 60-0542 (also shows up in older parts books as D542). It's the flexible drive cable that runs from the back of the speedometer head down to the drive unit, spinning the speedo needle as the wheel turns.
