SHOCK ADJUSTING WRENCH

A toolkit wrench for adjusting rear shock preload, also usable on the square-keyway valve tappet adjusters.

PN · 60-0362
Available in 2 versions:
StandardDual Size

This is the shock adjusting wrench, a small hand tool that lives in the toolkit rather than on the bike itself. It's built to turn the adjuster on the rear shocks so you can dial in preload to suit load or riding style without needing a full set of spanners. The catalog also lists it under the older D362 number and the P258 form, so if your parts book or an old toolkit roll turns up either of those, it's the same tool.

In the catalog it shows up filed under the toolkit figures alongside the battery and air filter listings, and also with the frame lock and pillion footrest entries, which is just how Triumph grouped small toolkit items rather than a sign this wrench does double duty on those parts. Some versions of this design also carry a square keyway on one end for tappet adjustment, so it can double as a valve tappet tool as well as a shock spanner.

Worth having in the roll if you're running the original-style shock adjusters, since a lot of folks end up making do with pliers or an adjustable wrench that chews up the adjuster collar. Keep it with the rest of your kit and it'll save you from hunting for a substitute at the roadside.
