Open spanner, Whit.

A Whitworth open-end spanner from the factory toolkit fitted to Triumphs of this era.

PN · 60-0360

This is an open-end spanner, part of the toolkit that rode along under the seat on Triumphs of this era. It's a Whitworth-pattern wrench, one of the tools Triumph packed in with the bike from the factory so an owner could handle roadside adjustments without carrying a separate toolbox full of gear. In the parts books it shows up as D360 in the older lettered numbering and as 60-0360 in the current scheme, same tool either way.

You'll find it listed alongside the toolkit, frame lock, pillion footrests, and licence holder fittings, and also under the battery and air filter toolkit figure, which just reflects where the toolkit itself sits and gets referenced in the catalog. It's a basic hand tool rather than a bike-specific part, so if you're piecing out an original toolkit or replacing one that walked off over the decades, this is one of the spanners you'd want in the roll.

The catalog data on this one spans several years of appearances without pinning it to one specific model, so if you're trying to match an exact toolkit roll for a particular machine, give the shop a call and we'll help sort out what belongs where.
