MAINSHAFT 5 SPEED T140 &TSS - HAS LOCK TABS AND NUTS BOTH ENDS - Replaces 57-4432
5-speed gearbox mainshaft for the T140 and TSS, complete with lock tabs and nuts at both ends.
This is the 5-speed gearbox mainshaft for the T140 and TSS, the shaft the clutch and kickstart ratchet ride on inside the gearbox. It comes through with lock tabs and nuts fitted at both ends, so you're not hunting down those small pieces separately when you rebuild the box.

57-7077 replaces the earlier 57-4432 mainshaft, so if your parts book still lists 57-4432 you're looking at the same shaft under its current number. Anyone rebuilding a 5-speed T140 or TSS gearbox will run into this part - it's a core internal component, not something you swap on a whim, so plan on pulling the whole cluster to get at it.
Because it carries lock tabs and nuts on both ends, double check what's already on your old shaft before you order, so you're not paying twice for hardware you already have in good shape.
